William Joseph Janak, 79, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.

Janak was born Aug. 8, 1946 in Hallettsville, the son of Willie Janak and Agnes Stasny Janak. He married JoAnn Marek on April 15, 1972, in Edna, and she survives.

He was retired from the United States Border Patrol.

In addition to his wife, Janak is survived by a sister, Gladys Hengst and brother, Wilburt Gene Janak.

A celebration of his life is planned at a later date.
