FISD will get two sheriff’s deputies at primary, elementary campuses
The Gillespie County Commissioners Court approved an agreement between the Gillespie County Sheriff ’s Office and the Fredericksburg Independent School District (FISD), 4-0, with an abstention from Commissioner Don Weinheimer during the court’s Dec. 9 meeting.
The interlocal agreement between the GCSO and FISD will place two deputies on FISD campuses as School Resource Officers (SROs). One will be at the Fredericksburg Primary School and one at the Fredericksburg Elementary School.
