Warmer, colder, then warmer again

Hill Country Weather with Dr Doppler

Arollercoaster ride is in store for the Hill Country during the next five to seven days.

Wednesday starts off with a nice afternoon followed by a strong arctic cold front Wednesday night and Thursday.

It will turn colder again with clouds and chilly showers possible throughout the day Thursday.

Although it will be cold, this will be a rain event with temperatures expected to remain above freezing.

Friday remains cool with clearing skies.

The weekend will be warmer again with 70s possible both days.

It should cool down slightly early next week with nothing serious in the forecast through the middle of next week.

A mixture of clouds and sunshine should greet the region Wednesday with comfortable high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

South winds become gusty at 15 to 20 mph during the day.

Clouds take over Wednesday night as a strong cold front advances through the area.

Lows drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s with a few light showers developing overnight.

Thursday looks cloudy and dreary with light rain showers possible.

It will be colder with highs in the 40s.

North winds may produce wind chill values in the 30s and lower 40s all day long.

The clouds continue to impact our area Thursday night through Friday.

Lows drop into the middle and upper 30s Friday morning with highs holding in the 50s if we can get a little sunshine late in the day.

The weekend does a 180 with south winds prevailing and warmer temperatures expected.

High temperatures climb into the 60s and 70s Saturday, depending on clouds.

Sunday appears to be the warmest day of the weekend with highs in the 70s.

Dry weather is expected over the weekend as high pressure and another weak cold front moves across the area.

Lows at night generally drop into the 30s Saturday and Sunday with patchy frost possible across lowlying areas.

Monday’s highs drop down into the 60s and this pattern is repeated Tuesday afternoon.

Lows both mornings start off in the 30s with patchy frost.

Rain chances appear to be low during the weekend and it should remain mostly dry through next Tuesday followed by a warmer pattern that could bring us light showers by the middle to latter half of next week.
