DOSS NEWS

Letters and emails went out last week for the 3006 Club past donors. If you have donated in the past and did not receive one, please check your spam folder.

The Gillespie County 4-H and FFA Livestock Show is Jan 7-9, 2026, with the auction on Saturday, Jan 10.

The 30-06 Club is a buying syndicate for the annual youth livestock show. We would like to receive your donation by the end of December if possible.

Please contact me at 830669-2353 or Karen Rode at 30-669-2634 if you have any questions or would like to know more about this organization.

The 30-06 Club supports the future of agriculture through our kids.

The Doss Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Christmas get together for members, reserve members and auxiliary and their families on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2026 at the fire station. Happy hour begins at 6 p.m. with the meal to follow at 6:30 p.m.

A free-will cash donation will be taken for a local charity.

St. Peter Women of Faith is again sending Cheer Baskets to members and friends of the community who cannot get out much anymore. Sha Thomas heads the committee.

Everyone is invited to contribute by bringing candy, nuts, hot cocoa mix, lotions, puzzle books, etc. to include in the gift baskets. Sha has enough cookies so that is taken care of.

Please have your items in the Fellowship Hall by Thursday, Dec 11.

Winter finally got here last Sunday. Temperatures hovered in the low 50s most of the day. Freezing temperatures are predicted for this week. Stay warm.

Continued prayers for Jill Pilcher and Kevin Geistweidt.
