County Christmas ahead at Courthouse Square

A “County Christmas on the Square” has been set by county employees with lights, choirs and bells at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 on the Courthouse Square, 101 W. Main St.

The family-friendly event will feature pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the gazebo (behind Pioneer Memorial Library) at 5 p.m.

Gillespie County Judge Daniel Judge will offer opening remarks at 5:30 p.m. in front of the courthouse.

That will be followed by music from: Fredericksburg Elementary School, under the direction of Alicia Elrod, the Heritage School Seventh-Grade Bell Choir, followed by the Ambleside School Choir. All will perform Christmas music.

Closing remarks will be offered at 6:20 p.m.

Refreshments of cookies and hot cocoa will be served at the Piccolina truck and photos with Santa will continue at the gazebo until 7 p.m.
