Gillespie voters pass all 17 Constitutional Amendments

Gillespie County voters passed all 17 of the Constitutional Amendments on Tuesday.

Of the 21,807 registered voters in Gillespie County, 5,251 or 24.7% cast a ballot in an election that saw the highest number of resolutions put in front of voters for a single election date in more than two decades.

Statewide percentage results also are included here.

Proposition 1 – Funding for Texas State Technical College

Gillespie County/For 3,532 (67%), Against 1,744 (33%)
Texas/For 69%, Against 31%

Proposition 2 – Banning capital gains taxes

Gillespie County/For 4,533 (85%), Against 770 (15%)
Texas/For 68%, Against 32%

Proposition 3 – Denial of bail for certain felony offenses

Gillespie County/For 3,737 (71%), Against 1,537 (29%)
Texas/For 64%, Against 36%

Proposition 4 – Alloting state/use taxes for the Texas water fund

Gillespie County/For 3,603 (68%), Against 1,671 (32%)
Texas/For 71%, Against 29%

Proposition 5 – Tax exemption on animal feed storage

Gillespie County/For 4,124 (79%), Against 1,113 (21%)
Texas/For 66%, Against 34%

Proposition 6 – Securities tax ban

Gillespie County/For 3,806 (74%), Against 1,331 (26%)
Texas/For 58%, Against 42%

Proposition 7 – Tax exemption for veterans’ spouses

Proposition 8 – Inheritance tax ban
