Ruby Stehling is marking 100 years of life today, Oct. 15. Stehling was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Kimble County and graduated from Harper High School in 1943. She met her husband, Isidore Stehling, in Fredericksburg after high school and they married May 1, 1946. The couple had three children and raised their family in Fredericksburg, with Mr. Stehling working as a farmer and she as a housewife. The Stehlings were married 52 years until his death in 1998. Mrs. Stehling remained in their home until 2020 and then became a resident at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation (now called Avir At Fredericksburg) at the age of 95. — Submitted photo
