UP CLOSE WITH DR. GOODALL

Jane Goodall, longtime friend of Longneck Manor owner Rick Barongi, spent three nights at the property visiting with its ambassador animals, staff and special guests. Above, Goodall is pictured with Kafele, the facility’s nine-year-old male giraffe and the renowned conservationist also visited with Justin, of on three rhinos at the facility. The highlight of her visit was an intimate fundraising dinner benefitting the Goodall Centre for Hope in Tanzania. The event honored Dr. Goodall, DBE (Dame Commander of the British Empire), founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and U.N. Messenger of Peace, and celebrated her lifelong commitment to wildlife conservation and hope for the future. Longneck Manor made a $100,000 donation to the Goodall Centre. Donations to help Longneck Manor with its mission may be sent at longneckmanor.com/conservation. — Photos courtesy Heather Crocker
