I am writing in regard to Larry Werts’ column on elimination of federal agencies. I completely agree that any governmental institution that has outlived its mandate should not be continued. I know it is natural for any such entity to try to prolong its existence, and in light of this, I have aways supported “sunset” legislation that seeks to identify agencies that have outlived their usefulness.
