Employees of H-E-B sprang into action May 1 and administered cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and used a defibrillator on a man suffering from a heart attack in the store, before Fredericksburg EMS crews arrived on scene. “If this gentleman would not have had CPR performed by these five people, and they wouldn’t have acted so quickly, it is likely he would not have survived,” said Amy Burrer, Fredericksburg EMT.
