New middle school leaves no crumbs

Teachers, administrators and staff members began the process of moving to the new Fredericksburg Middle School on Tuesday, May 27. Funding for the new building, located at 1401 Post Oak Road, came from the Fredericksburg Independent School District’s $82 million 2022 bond. The facilities include classrooms, dedicated spaces for athletics and the arts and speciality rooms for career and technical education. The former middle school campus at 110 West Travis Street will become the district’s new central offices, as the former central offices at 234 Friendship Lane will be retrofitted to serve as the Gillespie County High School campus. The school will host a ribbon cutting ceremony in July.
