Brown ies were a special treat of my childhood, but looking through my mom’s recipes, I did not find her Brownie recipe. I did locate a flyer among her collection — a promotional Brownie recipe from Rita Martin, the corporate director of Robin Hood Flour’s Home Service Bureau. As it turns out, she and her title were fictitious.
