Applications now open for city boards, commissions

The City of Fredericksburg is now taking applications for citizens interested in serving on seven different boards and commissions.

All members of the Historic Review Board, Market Square Redevelopment Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment are appointed by the City Council.

Other boards and commissions where a portion of the members are appointed or confirmed by the City Council, include the Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau board, the Gillespie County Economic Development Commission board and the Gillespie County Public Health Board.

Applications can be submitted in-person at City Hall or by email to City Secretary Letty Vacek at lvacek@fbgtx.org. The deadline to submit your application for consideration in 2025 is Friday, June 13.

Applications will be reviewed by City staff and then the City Council will make appointments to boards and commissions with vacancies at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 17.

For an application or more information on specific duties of members and meeting times, visit fbgtx.org/174/Boards-Commissions.
