POLICE ACCIDENT REPORT

The Fredericksburg Police Department responded to 12 minor wrecks and no major wrecks between Monday, May 19 and Sunday, May 25.

Minor

On Monday, May 19, officers responded to three minor wrecks. No injuries were reported. Exchange forms were provided to all parties. The first occurred at West Live Oak Street and Smokehouse Road. The driver of unit one was given a warning for failure to yield right-ofway, turning left. The second was a two-vehicle wreck on the 400 block of South Adams Street.

The third wreck on Monday, May 19 was a hit-and-run on the 200 block of South Lincoln Street. A description of the vehicle that left the scene was provided, and that vehicle was later located on the 800 block of Henrietta Street.

On Thursday, May 22, an officer responded to a threevehicle wreck at North Milam and West Nimitz streets. All parties were given exchange forms. The driver of the second car took a passenger to the emergency room for evaluation. The driver of the first car was given a warning for failure to control speed.

Also on Thursday, May 22, officers responded to three other wrecks, with no injuries reported. Exchange forms were given to all parties. Two wrecks occurred on the 1100 block of South Milam Street. The third was a hit-and-run on the 400 block of South Adams Street. A report was made and a case number was provided to the driver for insurance purposes.

On Friday, May 23, an officer responded to reported damage to a vehicle on the 1200 block of U.S. 290 West. The complainant told the officer that another vehicle was performing burnouts in the parking lot, causing rocks to be thrown onto their vehicle. A report was taken by the officer to give to the complainant’s insurance company.

Also on Friday, May 23, officers responded to two other wrecks, both with no injuries. Exchange forms were provided to all parties. The first was on the 300 block of East Main Street. The second was on the 1100 block of East Main Street, where one driver was issued a warning for failure to yield right of way.

On Sunday, May 25, officers responded to two twovehicle wrecks, both without injuries. Exchange forms were provided to all parties. Wreck one was on the 700 block of South Washington Street, and wreck two was at the intersection of West Main Street and U.S. 87 North.
