On Wednesday, May 21, in the 366th District Court in Collin County, a Fredericksburg man pled guilty to two felonies.
Daniel Royal Henk, 64, will serve two concurrent five-year sentences in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system for online solicitation of a minor and inducing/authorizing sexual performance of a child, who was 14 years old, according to court records. The incidents took place online and there was no physical contact, according to the Collin County District Attorney’s Office.
Henk appeared before District Judge Tom Novak last Wednesday.
“Defendant waived a jury and arraignment. Defendant warned and admonished. Defendant pleads guilty and is found guilty on their plea and on the evidence beyond a reasonable doubt,” for both charges, according to court records.
The former Senior Special Agent at U.S. Secret Service graduated from Fredericksburg High School and was in youth ministry in Gillespie County.
The charges stem from a May 2022 investigation and arrest by the Allen Police Department. Henk was booked on the two felony warrants in November 2022.
He will be eligible for parole after serving two and a half years his sentence, according to the Collin County District Attorney’s office.
