Harper students receive over $1 million in scholarships

Forty-three Harper High School seniors graduated at last Friday’s commencement at Harper Gymnasium.

Over $1 million in scholarships was awarded to 29 seniors.

There were 36 honor students recognized at the ceremony and two Harper graduates enlisted in the United States Armed Forces: Joseph Casey Smith in the Navy and Charles Andrew Chandler in the Army. Two seniors made Eagle Scout – William Clark and Clark Crenwelge and Ethan Parker Ballard and Anneliese Bacon were named by their peers Mr. and Ms. Harper High School, respectively.

After the ceremony, graduates and their families moved into the Old Gym where the graduates had decorated tables with photos, honors and memorabilia of their time at Harper.
