Craft Beer Fest tickets on sale now

The Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival will return for its fourth year on Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, at Marktplatz.

Discounted tickets are available at fbgcraftbeerfestival. com for $20. Tickets at the gate will be $25.

For brewers and those attending the Friday night awards dinner at Altstadt Brewery Bier Halle, the weekend begins from 5-8 p.m. Friday for a craft beer awards competition, featuring judging by certified tasters.

Ticket holders at $100 each also will be treated to a dinner and beers, plus tours at the Altstadt production facility, featuring brass tanks imported from Europe and canning for the brewery’s Germaninspired beers.

On Saturday, the action begins at 11 a.m. at Fredericksburg’s downtown square, Marktplatz. There, fest-goers will be treated to 30-plus booths of beer samples from Texas craft beer producers, with some brewers on hand to discuss their business. The first 2,000 festival attendees will receive a sample glass courtesy of the Real Estate Advisory Team.

There will also be wine booths for those who prefer that type of drink.

Other fun includes a new brewer panel to hear from top brew meisters around Texas, food vendors with craft beer-friendly fare, yard games, a hydration station with non-alcoholic beer offerings, souvenirs, two bands — salsaflavored favorites El Tule from 1:15-3:15 p.m. and classic country band The Outlaw Years performing from 3:30-5:45 p.m.

Sponsorships are still available and all donations are tax-deductible.

The event is being put on by The Rotary Club Foundation of Fredericksburg, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the community and the world.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Frontera Healthcare, which has clinics in five Hill Country counties and focuses on medical and behavioral health issues for low-income individuals.
