McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, announced the names of students graduating from the college on May 10.
Harper resident C. Newton Eaheart was awarded a bachelor of science degree in health science: allied health.
Earlier in the month, Eaheart was named to the school’s spring honor roll.
Students must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the last term to qualify for the honor roll.
Eaheart is a 2021 Harper High School graduate.
Three Gillespie County students were among the 9,000 spring graduates when the University of when the University of Texas at Austin celebrated its 142nd commencement ceremonies on May 10.
Taylor Sheridan, producer of television shows “Yellowstone” and “Landman,” was the featured commencement speaker.
Locals receiving degrees included: Scott Burlison, doctorate degree in mechanical engineering.
Avery Crouse, bachelor of arts degree in rhetoric and writing.
Miles Hammond, bachelor of arts degree in international relations and global studies.
Two Fredericksburg residents were named to the spring President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University.
Ismael Garcia and Michele Edwards, both of Fredericksburg, were among the full-time undergraduate students who earned a minimum gradepoint average of 3.7 and above for the semester.
The university offers about undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs online and on its campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Belmont University, in Nashville, Tennessee, recently released its spring Dean’s List which included Fredericksburg resident Acelynn Thomson.
Approximately 47% of the university’s 6,912 undergraduate students qualified this semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Schreiner University announces May graduates
One hundred sixty-one students, including three from Gillespie County, graduated from Schreiner University, in Kerrville, on Friday, May 9.
Two of the graduates arefromFredericksburg and include Callie Crawford, who received a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and Kris Ersch, bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Willow City resident Felix Cruz received a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice.
Schreiner University is an independent coeducational liberal arts university related by choice and by covenant to the Presbyterian Church (USA).
