The Apaches had a near shut-out of Providence during its game on Tuesday, May 6. The final score was 14-1.
Kersey Alexander pitched for St. Mary’s, earning six strikeouts over four innings.
Avery Alexander earned a solo inside the park home run, one of seven runs on seven hits in the top of the third.
In total, the Apaches earned 15 hits in the first playoff game.

In the final game of the season, St. Mary’s fell to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 14-4, on Wednesday, May 7.
Though the Apaches led by four runs at the end of the first inning, the Wildcats screamed back with 12 runs in the bottom of the third.
Kersey Alexander struggled on the mound, giving up five hits and nine runs, five earned.
Clara Cook, Peyton Kiehne, Poppy Heep, Kersey Alexander and Avery Alexander each collected one hit for the Apaches.
