The Grace Center will kick off its Grace Ambassador program to promote healthy relationships and support for peers on Thursday, May 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grand Central at Milam, 206 N. Milam Street.
The Grace Center will launch a new teen-led program called Grace Ambassadors. This initiative empowers local teens to take a stand for healthy relationships, support their peers and make a positive impact within the community.
The Grace Ambassadors campaign is designed to give young people the tools and confidence needed to advocate for respectful and supportive interactions among their peers. Through various events and community involvement, these young leaders will promote awareness about healthy relationships while fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership.
A Summer Dance Party will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at Grand Central at Milam.
This free event will feature live music, games, food and giveaways, creating a welcoming space for teens to connect, get inspired and learn more about becoming part of the Grace Ambassadors program.
Parents and community members are encouraged to spread the word and support their teens in joining this meaningful initiative, said Grace Center Executive Director Hattie Heiner.
“For teens looking to grow, lead, and have a great time while making a difference, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved,” Heiner said.
The Grace Center is a shelter center for victims of domestic violence with a mission to provide services that break the cycle of domestic violence, giving individuals hope and healing.
