Central Texas Electric Cooperative awarded a $500 grant to James Gilbert’s family in January. Gilbert, who suffered a 13-foot fall while at work, received the $500 electric bill credit to help take some strain off the family’s monthly expenses. The donation was given by CTEC members who voluntarily participate in Operation Round-Up. By having monthly electric bills rounded up to the next whole dollar each month, CTEC members are able to pass savings onto other members, who need it.
