Without a city entity, do you know how the street lights in downtown Harper stay on?
For many years Security Bank & Trust maintained the CTEC account that was supported by local businesses, churches and organizations.
The Harper Community Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) is now maintaining the account. In taking over custodianship, HCCC has expanded the number of lights to 12 dark sky compliant fixtures, with consistent spacing of 4-5foot extensions on every third or fourth pole. This upgrade not only gives Main Street a more uniform and pleasing appearance, but it also enhances safety for both businesses and pedestrians.
The average monthly bill is $100. You can help keep the lights on. Your contributions will help maintain this vital service for our community, and we also welcome any suggestions you may have for improvements.
To support this fund donations can be made to the Harper Community Chamber of Commerce Street Light Fund, P.O. Box 308, Harper, TX 78631.
