CROSS COLLABORATION

Members of the Fredericksburg-Nimitz Rotary club attended the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony atop Cross Mountain after the recent installation of the new cross in June. Members of the Rotary club from left were: Jack Schumacher, Debbi Mc-Curdy, Dave Urbanski, Dawn Donalson, Carleton Turner, Deb Urbanski, Leslie Moeller, Deb Bowen, Cindy Turner, Ralph Bowen, Diann Jung, Ronnie Jung, Denetta Schumacher, Coleen Hickman, John Hollimon, Nanette Mock, Jimmy Culp, Shaun Culp, Marcia Drewitz, Cindy Eberle, Steve Kneese and Mike Strolle. The Nimitz Rotary Club raised funds for the construction of the new cross over the course of two years. It was a collaborative effort with the City of Fredericksburg, made possible by donations from the Tyrus and May Stein Cox family and the Fredericksburg Community. The cross was fabricated by Tony and Stephen Gillespie, and the powder coating was done by Chuck and Sally Owen. – Submitted photo
