Into the Fire
On Aug. 12, 1967, at 3 p.m., Captain Tom Norris throttled his fighter aircraft east along with his flight consisting of 16 others and departed Korat Royal Thai airbase on a secret mission to take out a bridge in North Vietnam. (At the time, it was not disclosed that the U.S was operating out of Thailand.)
