The New Braunfels Village Brass Band (NBVBB) will play hymns for worship at Bethany Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21. Al Tapia is the director. The 30-plus band members live within a 100-mile radius of New Braunfels, including some from Fredericksburg and Boerne. They emulate the brass bands of Germany and Austria of the 1800s, meaning they have no saxophones, accordions or double reed instruments. They use flugelhorns, trumpets, trombones, clarinets, flutes, piccolos, tenorhorns and baritones. Bethany is located at 110 West Austin Street. — Submitted photo
