Historic photograph shows 1940 eclipse over Fredericksburg skies
Hidden in a treasure trove of old photographs is a 5-by-7 black and white image with writing on it marking the progression of the moon as it crosses between the Earth and the sun, casting Fredericksburg into midday darkness just as it would 83 years later.
