The Lindig family’s spring break vacation in March was a 695-mile trip down the Mississippi on a small cruise ship. Allison Lindig, 12, of Fredericksburg Middle School, reads the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post as she steers the “American Symphony” 7 miles down the river. Her parents, Keith and Cathy Lindig, not pictured, were on the trip that spanned Memphis to New Orleans with stops that included Graceland, Civil War battlefields in Vicksburg, Mississippi, plantations and museums.
