SPRING BREAK AT PIONEER MUSEUM
Diego Hernandez, 2, of Sugarland, spent nearly 30 minutes playing with rubber band guns last week at the Pioneer Museum’s annual spring break program. His mother, Jaime Hernandez, right, said her other children had been looking forward to their trip to the museum since they last visited three years ago. She and her husband Juan also brought Marianna, 5, Teresa, 8, Lucy, 10, and Giovanni, 12, who are not pictured, to explore the living history activities. Standard-Radio Post/Christine Granados

Paloma Sanchez, 3, from Austin, takes a squeezebox lesson from Terry Theis, a downtown street musician from Harper, who was playing the Kantsch. Sitting to Sanchez’ left just out of the frame is her grandmother, Francis, who was visiting from Paraguay. Strumming the guitar is Lee Haile. In the background, Boerne resident Owen, 3, with his mother and father Gabri and Paul Burgeson, plays with a blowing horn. His grandmother, Tracy Burgeson from Colorado, to the right, claps to the beat of the music.
