The St. Mary’s Girls A basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Archdiocesan Interscholastic Athletic League (AIAL) playoffs where the Apaches lost to St. Matthew, 32-22, on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
“I am so very proud of these young ladies,” Head Coach Bobbi Rhodes said. “Their effort, their heart, their improvement, their attitudes throughout the season. I could not have asked for more from them. … Thank you to the parents of the players who support us.”
Abby Adams was named to the All-Tournament team in the playoffs.
St. Mary’s finished the season with a record of 14-4 overall.
Harper Money was top scorer with a total of six points. Adams, Poppy Heep, and Adeline Eilers added five points each for the Apaches.
Money tallied 14 rebounds to lead the team in rebounding.
Adams recorded six steals.
Prior to the semifinal game, the Apaches defeated St. John Bosco, 29-18, in the quarterfinal rounds of the AIAL playoffs.
Money was the leading scorer with 12 points. Hadley Maner added 11 points.
Maner was the leader in rebounding with a total of 16 boards.
Ella Money and Adams finished with four steals each.
Adams and Maggie Dietel finished the game with one block apiece.
