Fredericksburg Middle School students traveled to Wimberley on Saturday, Jan. 27, to compete in the 2024 Academic UIL District Meet at Danforth Junior High School.
Of the 60 students who attended, 53 placed. FMS placed second overall at the competition.
Students competed in a variety of competitive events including Art Smart, Calculator Applications, Chess Puzzle, Dictionary Skills, Editorial Writing, Impromptu Speaking, Listening Skills, Maps, Graphs and Charts, Mathematics, Modern Oratory, Music Memory, Number Sense, Ready Writing, Science, Social Studies and Spelling.
