In spite of damp and overcast weather, the Willow City Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department held a successful quilt auction on Saturday at Marktplatz, giving away 81 handmade quilts to raise funds for a wish list including two new brush trucks. The department’s truck stayed busy during the past two dry summers.
