Former tax assessor, 18-year county employee moves into vacant position
The Gillespie County Commissioners Court appointed Vicki Schmidt for the vacant position of County Treasurer during a special meeting held Monday morning at the Gillespie County Courthouse.
The elected position was left vacant following the mid-term resignation of Dana Smith, which the commissioners court accepted on Monday, Oct. 9.
