FHS hoopsters handle adversity by picking up first win of the season

The Fredericksburg High School girls’ varsity basketball team eked out their first season victory 50-49 over Class 6A Laredo United South at the FHS Performance Gym last Friday.

“I thought it was a good start to the season,” Head Coach Carrie Grona said. “I like how we handled adversity. We just buckled down in the fourth quarter and didn’t let our lead slip away.”
