The Hill Country Astronomers teamed with host site Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site on Saturday to mark “International Observe the Moon Night.” In the photo at left, Jack Peterson of HCA directs a line of telescopes and visitors, which had to dodge around increasing cloud cover to view celestial objects. In the silhouetted photo, Gregoroy Porter directs twins Brooklyn and Cohen Porter, age 6, to view the moon through the telescope of Ryan Behrends, HCA president. This is the third year the park has offered its site for the event. — Standard-Radio Post/Ken Esten Cooke
