The Rastrelli Cello Quartet wowed a full house Sunday at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church as the second concert of Fredericksburg Music Club’s 2023-2024 concert series. From left, Kira Kraftzoff, Mischa Degtjareff, Kirill Timofeev and Sergio Drabkin perform “Andante Cantabile from String Quartet No. 1” by Peter Tchaikovsky. But it wasn’t just classical tunes on display. The group also performed numbers from more modern composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer (“Pirates of the Caribbean” theme). They also delighted the audience with Henry Mancini’s “Pink Panther” and broke out a rock song book selection with numbers from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. — Standard-Radio Post/Ken Esten Cooke
