Two centuries of Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers marked two centuries of service to the Lone Star State and North America last weekend at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center.
The event began with actor Wyatt Earp (his real name) portraying Texas Ranger Captain Bill McDonald, who served in the early 1900s. McDonald coined the phrase, “One Riot — One Ranger.”
On Saturday, the event continued with historical displays, a Native American pow wow dance, and a traditional Texas Rangers camp.
