Livestock antibiotics no longer sold over the counter
Starting June 11, livestock owners will need a prescription to purchase over-the-counter antibiotics to treat livestock. Experts from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service recommend livestock owners build a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, or VCPR, to secure any future purchases of antibiotics
