Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a call of a physical disturbance at a residence in the 8800 block of U.S. 87 North on June 24. While enroute, deputies were informed that the victim had taken refuge at a neighbor’s home. Joshua Allen Grandstaff, 33, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for assault family violence – impeding breath or circulation and injury to a child after assaulting both his wife and daughter. Grandstaff physically resisted during the arrest and then was also charged with resist arrest search or transport.
Another disturbance call occurred on June 26 at the 100 block of Northwest Hills Drive. After arrival, Travis Andrew Cook, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested for terroristic threat of family.
Drugs
A vehicle was stopped on June 21 at the 100 block of North Cherry Street for an expired registration. The female driver declined a request to search the vehicle. A K9 deputy made the scene and did an openair sniff, initiating a probable cause search. Methamphetamine was located and Kasie Le-Ann Pritt, 33, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. After finding additional methamphetamine in her leggings, the charge was changed to a higher penalty group and an additional charge of tampering with physical evidence was added.
On June 21, a traffic stop was made on West Live Oak Road when a driver was known to not possess a valid driver’s license. The vehicle did not immediately stop and it was believed the driver discarded illegal narcotics from the vehicle. The vehicle was eventually stopped at the 800 block of Upper Live Oak Road, and the discarded item was found to be methamphetamine. The driver, Juan Favio Ramirez-Crispin, 37, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for evading arrest, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a controlled substance.
A deputy was granted consent to search a vehicle on June 23 in the parking lot of Whataburger. Cody Lynn Patrick, 45, of Llano, was observed making suspicious movements during the search and was found to have removed a plastic bag containing methamphetamine from her pocket. A vehicle search revealed other paraphernalia. Patrick was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
A traffic stop was made at the 1500 block of East Main Street on June 23. The driver, Erick Garcia, 29, of San Antonio, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance when liquid THC was found in the vehicle.
During a traffic stop on June 24 at the 9500 block of U.S. 290 West, a deputy detected an odor of alcohol. During investigation it was found that the driver, Victor Hugo Guzman Jr., 25, of Fredericksburg, had an outstanding warrant and was arrested for assault causes bodily injury. The passenger, Austin Rosenbusch, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.
A deputy responded to a call for an intoxicated driver on June 24 on U.S. 290 West. The driver, Todd Odell Ford, 55, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Valentin Noriega Diosdado, 43, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on June 25 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Texas 16 South and Medical Drive.
Also, on June 25 a traffic stop was made at the 800 block of Kerr Road and a probable cause search was conducted. Marijuana, a glass pipe, and a bag of cocaine were found in the vehicle. The passenger, Esteban Anibal Aguilar-Arenas, 20, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
Another June 25 traffic stop was made at the intersection of U.S. 290 East and Woodland Drive. When an odor of marijuana was detected, a probable cause search was made and deputies located bags of marijuana. The driver, Allen Chase Gilbert, 25, of Austin was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Other
On June 21 a detention officer and a deputy picked up a male inmate in Montgomery County who was being held on warrants. The inmate, Robaskin Lamar Fredrick, 24, of Houston, was picked up and transported to Gillespie County Jail.
Michael Walter Schorr, 32, of Fredericksburg, was arrested on June 21 for a warrant out of Kendall County.
On June 24, a deputy and a detention officer transported four male inmates to the Travis County Correction Complex in Del Valle. They also dropped off a male inmate at the Kendall County Jail.
On June 24 a deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of Armory Road for a welfare concern. On arrival, a female was upset over a disturbance that took place with her boyfriend. The female, Paris Jann Jones, 31, of Fredericksburg, was arrested on two active warrants of abandon or endangering a child.
Deputies went to a home in the 500 block of Deer Creek Drive on June 25 with a warrant. Dominick Isaiah Garcia, 29, of Fredericksburg, was located and arrested on the warrant for motion to revoke probation – tampering with physical evidence.

The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office handled 420 calls on the week of June 20-26 and a total of 26 people were booked into jail. As of June 26, the jail population is at 92. Sheriff’s officers worked on seven crashes, six were minor and one major.
