Dinner, dancing, an auction and more will highlight the first Cowboy Christmas Ball and Dinner Fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 7, under the tent in the Yee Haw Ranch parking lot.
Appetizers and viewing for auction items will be from 6-6:45 p.m. followed by the dinner from 7-7:45 p.m.
Kristyn Harris will perform from 6-7:45 p.m.
A dance starts at 8 p.m. with music by The Lost Sounds of Texas Honky Tonk Band.
Tickets for the steak dinner and dance are $50 each, but must be purchased by the end of today, Wednesday, Dec. 4.
The tickets can be purchased at Yee Haw Ranch Outfitters and Party Affair.
Dance tickets only are $15 (starting at 8 p.m.) Cost for students with ID is $10.
The dance tickets can be purchased at the door.
Proceeds from this first event will benefit the Ag Student Expense Assistance Fund.
The goal is to raise money to allow a 4-H or FFA member to continue with projects throughout the year.
The funds are to assist in expenses for many different projects from cooking, textiles, judging competitions, help with a feed bill and much more.
“Our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor students from start to finish with whatever project they desire to take part in,” a spokesman said.
“We feel it’s important to give kids the opportunity to belong to an organization that teaches them responsibility and allows them to choose a safer more wearing path to follow into the future than alternatives,” the spokesman said.
Silent auction items include specialty baskets, cowhides, complete outfits for men and women and more.
Yee Haw Ranch is located at 3915 U.S. 290 East.
