The Harper Ladyhorns are rolling through non-district with the 27-2A slate waiting in the wings.
Harper won basketball games against Boerne Geneva, 38-27, on Friday, Dec. 15, and Bandera, 53-44, on Tuesday, Dec. 12, to improve to 14-4 this season.
The team’s win against Bandera marks a fourth victory against a Class 4A school, after the Ladyhorns beat Bandera in the Devine Tournament, 50-31, and took two games against Llano in November.
Harper also beat Class 5A school Uvalde in the Devine Tournament.
The Ladyhorns had a Tuesday night matchup against the Brady Bulldogs, but results were not available as of press time. Harper ends 2017 with the Comfort Tournament on Dec. 28-30.
District 27-2A games are right around the corner, with the first coming against Center Point on Jan. 5 at Center Point.
Three of the district’s teams currently rank in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ top 25 poll for Class 2A: San Saba (No. 20), Harper (No. 24) and Mason (No. 25).
