All good things must come to an end, including Harper’s five-game football winning streak.
Despite scoring the contest’s first touchdown — a one-yard plunge by Chance Lange with 4:35 remaining in the opening quarter — the Longhorns came up on the short end of a 22-12 score at La Pryor last Friday.
Harper will try to restart another victory streak when it travels to Sabinal on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. face-off with the Yellowjackets (5-1 overall record).
The coming weekend opens the league season for District 27-2A. In addition to the Harper-Sabinal contest, Brackett visits Junction.
Both contests will kick-off at 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Mason takes the night off with an open date.
La Pryor 22, Harper 12
