Local veterinarians still offering rabies clinics

The 2020 rabies clinics in Gillespie County are ending this weekend.

Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor the county’s final rabies clinic of the year from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Stonewall Fire Station, 14854 U.S. 290.

Dr. Neal Eckert, of the Fredericksburg Veterinary Center, will administer the shots. Cost of a rabies shot will be $10.

Other shots are available upon request at a discounted rate.

Annual rabies clinics throughout Gillespie County support the regular canine and feline vaccinations and have contributed both to the health of dogs and cats and to the public health.
