Three of the cross country squads from Harper High School took part in Saturday's Lytle Meet, with the varsity girls team capturing sixth place on their 3,200-meter trail.

Meanwhile, the Longhorn male runners took 10th on the expanded 5,000-meter course.

Although they didn't have enough runners participate in the event to make up an official team, the junior varsity girls ran as individual athletes.

Top runners in each division for Harper included Sara Walters (varsity girls, 13:33, 24th place), Evan Hill (varsity boys, 18:39, 34th place), and Anneliese Tatsch (JV girls, 15:21, 22nd place).

Up next for the Longhorn runners will be this Saturday's Fredericksburg High School meet, slated for Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg.
