Harper hosts Geneva in Thursday football scrimmage
Following last weekend’s three-team scrimmage at TMI Episcopal School (which also included Charlotte), Harper gets one more opportunity to tune-up the Longhorn football machine before the regular season gets underway.
Boerne Geneva travels to Harper on Thursday for a 5 p.m. practice run.
In last week’s pre-season action at TMI, HHS head coach Dusty Gibbs said while it’s difficult to get a read on how his team during a scrimmage, he could tell there was significant progress.
“Scrimmages are always hard to judge because you’re trying to get a look of a lot of kids and you don’t do an in-depth game plan as you would during your regular game,” said the mentor.
Overall, Gibbs said he was “very pleased” with his team’s effort. “We scored a couple of touchdowns with our No. 1’s and scored three with our No. 2’s.”
