Five FHS players earn first-team honors

The Fredericksburg High School Battlin’ Billies landed five football players on this year’s District 14-4A Division I all-district first team.

Wide receiver Jonathan Cleland, offensive lineman Bryce Bowers, punter Riggs Threadgill, defensive lineman Chris Deloof and special teams players Tyler Burns were voted to the first team after leading the Billies to fourth place and a playoff berth in 14-4A DI.

Cleland, Bowers and Threadgill were unanimous selections.

Landing on the second team were running back Neil Loth, wide receiver Sean Majors, offensive lineman Parker Beem, defensive back Jordan Hartmann, defensive lineman John Adam Castaneda, defensive end Jacob Wienecke and special teams player Daylon Nebgen.

Honorable mention selections were defensive back Caleb Wilkins, linebacker Bryce Erwin, Nebgen (as a linebacker), Burns (as a defensive back), defensive back Jaime Ortega, quarterback Will Flannery, offensive lineman Kaston Hawkins, offensive lineman Reed Sultemeier and running back William Sebera.
