FHS XC take top two spots in Krebs Invitational
Fredericksburg High School cross country continues its strong start to the season.
The Billies’ varsity teams both finished as runners-up in the Jacob Krebs Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Harper High School.
The boys’ and the girls’ varsity squads finished right behind Kerrville Tivy in the meet.
FHS junior varsity girls finished first in their division and the junior varsity boys’ came in second in their division.
“Although we were second place as a team, our team goals were met as we improved our team averages quite a bit from last week,” coach Dan Aldrich said. “We just completed our second phase of training and have improved our team average for the girls to 13:22 and then 18:32 for the boys.
“In just one week, our girls team has dropped their team average 30 seconds and the boys have dropped theirs one minute.”
