With a 2-0 start in District 28-4A play, the Fredericksburg High School volleyball team looks to face two tough competitors this week.

On Friday, Oct. 6, the Billies will face rival Boerne at home at 6 p.m. in the FHS gym.

Boerne is 1-1 in the district and 10-13 overall, according to MaxPreps.

While coach Kaci Rittimann is confident in her team’s ability to take down Boerne, she encourages them to stay calm.

“Our biggest thing with Boerne is mental,” she said. “We need to stay calm and not let the hype get to us.”

Next week, the Billies will travel back to Hondo on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will face off at 6 p.m.

FHS beat Hondo earlier in the season in three sets.

The Billies face Canyon Lake today, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at FHS Gym.
