Ambleside wins medals in swim meet

The Ambleside Middle School Swim team competed in the Texas School for the Deaf HS and MS Sprint Swim Meet Saturday Feb. 1, in Austin.

The women’s team composed of Anna Kate Goodson, Leah Junker and Lola Pomykal placed fourth out of six teams.

The men’s team composed of Tripp Dickens, Samuel Goodson and Elijah Junker, placed second out of five teams.

Dickens placed 10th in the 50 free and fifth in the 50 back.

Anna Kate Goodson placed second in the 100 individual medley and first in the 500 free.

Samuel Goodson placed eighth in the 50 Free.

Elijah Junker placed first in the 200 free, first the 100 free and first in the 50 free.

Leah Junker placed first in the 50 back and third in the 50 breast.

Pomykal placed 12th in the 50 free and eighth in the 50 back.

The 200 free coed relay composed of Anna Kate Goodson, Samuel Goodson, Leah Junker and Elijah Junker placed first.

Pomykal, Dickens, Anna Kate Goodson and Leah Junker also swam in an unscored 200 free relay.

Teammate Gracie Bush was unable to swim due to the flu.
