Seddie Durst, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020.
Graveside services with military honors and interment were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Hofmann officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Durst was born Nov. 3, 1933, at Castell, Llano County, the son of Edmund Durst and Alma Grenwelge Durst. He married Margaret Louise Ottmers on Nov. 13, 1954, at Edison Street Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2006.
Durst is survived by one daughter, four sons and spouses, including Glenn and Meleta Durst, Dennis and Sherry Durst, Barbara Durst and Duane and Martha Durst, all of Fredericksburg, and Ronald and Vickie Sue Durst of Kingsland.
Survivors also include 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Estella, Mrs. Norman Feuge; a brother and spouse, Elgin and Ella Mae Durst; three sisters-in-laws, Ethlyn, Mrs. Woodrow Durst; Florence, Mrs. Verner Durst, and Kathryn, Mrs. Don Hazelett, all of Fredericksburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, Durst was preceded in death by one grandson, Travis Durst; two sisters, Myrtle Weber and Willie Mae Friedrich, and three brothers, Gilbert Durst, Woodrow Durst and Verner Durst.
Pallbearers included Brandon Durst, Barrett Durst, Eric Durst, John Durst, Dana Sharpe, Jared Durst and Ryan Buell.
Honorary pallbearers included Rebecca Mayes, Autumn Buell, Marya O’Dell, Monica McCullough, Chrystine Parent and Kiel Adams.
Memorials may be given to New Century Hospice or the charity of choice.
