Robert (Bob) Emrick
Robert (Bob) Emrick, 89, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 2, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Chaplain Bruce Brown officiating.
Visitation was held beforehand.
Cremation followed the services.
Emrick was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Edgar Emrick and Pearl Bryan Emrick.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
After graduation from college, Emrick became a teacher, a coach and school principal; however, his career took a different turn and he became a criminal investigator for the U.S. Department of Defense at the Nevada Test Site (Area 51).
Emrick is survived by his wife, Beth, and the following children: Robyn Cloud and her husband, Robert Hillsted of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Lee Cloud of Hawaii; Donny Emrick and his wife, Debbie of Tucson, Arizona; Debbie Cloud and her husband, Matt Dunkel of Manchester, New Hampshire; and step-children: Douglas Weber of Ozark, Missouri; James Weber of Kearney, Nebraska; Mary Beth Lee of Fredericksburg, and Rick Weber of Zionsville, Indiana.
Survivors also include four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
